Deputy Systems Manager - June 2005 – October 2006
Responsible for the maintenance, configuration and support of the MWSI Business Group’s Maritime Integration Network (MINET).
In my role I supported a network hosting over 120 servers and user-workstations, with 30 Cisco switches and a
wide variety of host and server platforms including Windows XP, Server 2003 Standard and Appliance Editions,
SuSe Linux and numerous legacy systems. Due to the classification of the network I was also responsible for maintaining the security of the network both from soft and physical aspects.

John Lewis Partnership

I worked for the Partnership for nearly 5 years in both divisions; Waitrose and John Lewis.
My time in the Partnership allowed me to become a confident and responsible Partner and to develop my
organizational, leadership, teamwork skills and my ability to communicate and deal successfully with customers.

Knight and Lee: Branch Network Administrator - May 2003 – May 2005
Duties and role include:

• Running start and end of trade routines on store’s EPOS servers.
• General administration of networked users on an NT4 based network and CICS mainframe.
• General administration and support for store’s EPOS; IBM’s 4690 using 4683 registers.
• Carrying out projects and administration on behalf of Network Control on the network and servers.
• Supporting and advising the full-time Branch Network Administrator when required.

Waitrose: Customer Services Assistant / Checkout Supervisor - July 2000 – May 2005
Duties and role include:

• Dealing with customer queries and complaints
• Supervision of 8 checkouts, winebar, several confectionary and wines fixtures and upto and above 10 staff
  members.
• Management of a daily rota and an active role in the operation of the Checkouts section.
